Blessings

This Thanksgiving was a truly Thankful & Blessed Holiday!!!
I opened my home to 2 Airmen with Operation Homecooking as I have done for the past 6 years. It is always a very special and rewarding experience. This year though the entire holiday felt especially SPECIAL.
Each of these young men had a unique yet similar story and it was very interesting to hear about each. One from Texas and one from New York. Special guys.
Then my family...it was great to have my sister in from Tyler. Plus, my oldest nephew was able to join us! That was great! We ALL were together! I am very Thankful for it.
Lastly, but not least my new honey. My sweetie. This was our first Thanksgiving together and hopefully many more to come. It was by far one of the most special holidays for me this year and he felt the same way. It was very touching...made me feel fortunate and thankful for all I have and all the blessings that have come my way this past year.
I hope that each of you had a Truly Blessed Thanksgiving holiday!

Unknowing Inspiration!!!

For the past 2 days I've been in a FUNK!!!

I've tried to get out of it. Today was better than yesterday, but then it started to really change around.

I was making progress with things at work - always good. Then I went to weigh in and I lost 2.5 lbs!! So I am back to where I need to be & want to be. That was a NICE little bonus!!

Then I was helping an employee at work. We don't normally interact but her Supervisor was out & she needed help. We got to talking & she told me she lost 30 lbs!! ~~ WOW! Good for her!! is the first thing I told her. She asked me how I planned to maintain during the holidays. (in case you didnt know I lost 35 lbs & have been maintaining for quite a few months!!)

She was nervous about getting through it. We started to share how to approach it & then she said something to me that really surprised me....

"You're My Inspiration!"

I said "Thank You! Really?! I am?! She said yes. See you don't know how many people you inspire. I see you walk by & I think okay, I CAN do it!!"

That was the nicest think I have heard in awhile. Especially today, when I needed it the most. And it was from someone whom with I have limited, and sad to say, if any interaction with. Yet, it made a difference to both of us. A connection -- as humans we had a moment that touched us -- the human touch.

She helped me & inspired me -- inspired me to change my day around.

How inspiring!! This will be a GOOD day!!

Unknowing Inspiration.

It is around us all the time. We just have to be open to seeing & receiving it.

Make a Wish...No Make 2...3...4!!!

That was me on the last night of our Getaway. I was on the roof deck...just enjoying the stars when a shooting star whizzed by! I was astonished, since
it had been so long since I last saw one.
Then I told my girlfriend. Not much longer and than another went by!!
WOW!! This was AMAZING! To see 2 Shooting Stars in ONE night!! (this
time I did make a wish!)
Shortly, after still gazing at the stars in amazement, I was fortunate to see
yet a 3rd ....and then finally a 4th!!!
I have always loved a full moon...just to sit outside and gaze at it. Plus, I
enjoy looking at the stars & on that particularly LUCKY night....I was
blessed to see 4 shooting stars!

Time for Change

After the way my day started at work on Friday...I decided its time for change.

I do not want to live an untrue life anymore. I have changed so much about myself

within the past year the one area I have avoided is my career.

What do I want to be when I grow up???!!

Isn't that the age old question? Shouldn't I know the answer to this question by now?

Am I supposed to have an answer by now, at my age??!!
I don't think so. I am ever changing, evolving. So as I change so will my quest to be

able to answer that question.

Right now I am not sure I have the EXACT answer, but I know that where I am at

now is not where I want to be. To be truly happy.

This is a work in progress ... just as I am.

Where have you been girl????

Its been a LOONNG time since my last most. Lots going on & just never could find time or devote time to my blog.
But...I would like to get back into posting on a regular basis. So...here is my first post in almost 6 months....Me now(or at least at end of October :))

I was able to take a vacation at the end of October and was fortunate enough to be able to join a scrapbooking retreat. -- The Getaway. It was located at a beach house on the Outer Banks in North Carolina! WOW!! What a GREAT time!! I scrapped...ate....scrapped...ate...and met some wonderful ladies!! Here we all are....
